Undoubtedly, one of the most prominent painters of the middle generation presents himself with his mild retrospective, which includes both paintings from modern Czech and Czechoslovak history, as well as figural works with social and psychological content, as well as landscapes. In Císařovský's case, the distinctive color and feeling for the solid construction of paintings is combined with the ability to have a surprising view of the situations and spaces around us. The painter's works, as can be seen in the artist's catalog, thus gain their timelessness and, among other things, assure us of the irreplaceability of the traditional visual medium for contemporary art.
On the occasion of the launch of this exhibition, the Tichá dohoda catalog was published in cooperation with the KANT publishing house.
